Actually, Afghanistan Cricket Board has posted some pictures and videos of the last farewell of former fast bowler Shapoor Zadran on its social media account. It can be seen in these pictures that Afghanistan’s star leg spinner Rashid Khan shouldered Shapoor’s funeral pyre, during which Rashid looked emotional. The mortal remains of the late Shapoor Zadran were brought to Kabul yesterday, and following the funeral prayer held at 10:00 AM this morning, he was laid to rest at Maranjan Hill Cemetery in Kabul.

Many Afghan players attended the funeral
Apart from Rashid Khan, many players of Afghanistan cricket participated in the last farewell of Shapoor Zadran. Many players including Mohammad Nabi, Ibrahim Zadran attended the funeral. When the mortal remains were brought to Eidgah in Kabul for prayers on Thursday morning, a crowd of thousands of fans gathered, everyone wanted to see their hero for the last time.

Former Afghanistan fast bowler Shapoor Zadran died on 7 July 2026 in New Delhi due to a serious illness. Star spinner Rashid Khan was seen crying bitterly during Shapoor’s last journey.
