Cricketer Rashid Khan: Afghanistan’s star cricketer Rashid Khan has made a shocking revelation in his upcoming book. Rashid Khan has told in his book ‘Rashid Khan: From Streets to Stardom’ that he had received an offer from India and Australia to leave the country and change his citizenship. Khan told that after thanking both the countries, I had said that I will play only for my country.
‘The situation in your country is very bad, stay here and play cricket’

Rashid Khan made a shocking revelation that when he was playing for Gujarat Titans, a senior BCCI official had met him. The authority of the Indian Cricket Board had said, ‘The situation in your country is bad. We will give you citizenship, stay here and play from here.
Rashid Khan told that I thanked both the countries and rejected their offers.
Rashid Khan has been popular in India also
Although Rashid Khan has been popular in India. This Afghanistan cricketer played for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2018 IPL. Then Rashid performed brilliantly in a match against Kolkata Knight Riders. While Rashid performed all-round while batting, he scored 34 runs in 10 balls and led his team to victory by taking 3 wickets. After his performance in this match, his fans in India even demanded to give Indian citizenship to Rashid Khan. Fans had also tagged the then External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Twitter. In response to which the Foreign Minister had said that the right of citizenship rests with the Home Ministry.
