According to PTI news, the Afghan player wrote in the book that I have received offers of citizenship and playing from both Australia and India. However, I told him that if I do not play for my country, I will not play for any other country.
According to Rashid Khan, he was offered to play and live here by a senior official from India, to which he said, ‘I went and met him. We had a conversation and said that the condition of your country is very bad. You can come and live in India. We will give you Indian documents. You stay here and play cricket. I was a little shocked to hear what he was saying and I didn’t know how to respond. I smiled and thanked him. I told that I like to play for my country Afghanistan.
