Fans finally got clarity on South Indian actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s love story just days before their wedding.
The couple, who starred together in Dear Comrade and Geetha Govindamplanned to marry on February 26 at Mementos by ITC Hotels.
The wedding remained private, with around 100 guests attending.
According to Indian media, sources said that a few politicians from Telangana and select film directors were present, while most major film stars did not attend.
The couple officially confirmed their relationship on Sunday through an Instagram post. They thanked fans for their constant support and acknowledged the nickname “VIROSH” that fans had given them.
In the joint note, they wrote, “Even before we chose anything for ourselves, fans had already given us a name with so much affection. We announce our big day as ‘The Wedding of VIROSH’ and our fans will always remain a special part of our journey.”
Their note read: “Our Dearest loves, Before we made any plans, before we chose anything for ourselves—you were already there. With so much love, you gave us a name. You called us ‘VIROSH’. So today — with full hearts, we name our coming together in your honour. We would like to name it — ‘The Wedding of VIROSH’. Thank you for holding us with so much love. You are a part of us — always. Biggest hugs and full love (sic)!”
Rashmika and Vijay had previously got engaged in a private ceremony on October 3, 2025, at Vijay’s residence in Hyderabad.
