In a heartfelt note, Vijay wrote, “One day, I missed her. Missed her in a way that made me feel like my day would’ve been better if she were around. Like my meals would’ve felt more wholesome if she were sitting across from me. Like my workouts would’ve been more fun and less of a punishment if she were doing them with me. Like I needed her – just to feel that sense of home and calm, no matter where I was.”

For the ceremony, both wore custom ensembles by celebrated designer Anamika Khanna. Rashmika stunned in a rust saree with a red border and temple motifs, while Vijay chose an ivory dhoti with a vermillion angavastram. Traditional gold jewellery completed their royal look, prompting fans to compare them to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
The love story began on the sets of Geetha Govindam in 2018. Years of speculation later, their fairytale has officially come full circle.
