Rasikh Dar signed by Royal challengers Bengaluru for a whopping 6cr

Rasikh Salam Dar, a bowler from the former Delhi Capitals, scooped a whopping amount of Rs. 6 crores for himself from the Royal Challengers Bangaluru (RCB) in the uncapped pacers list for IPL 2025 Auction held at the Abadi Al Johar Arena here in Jeddah on Sunday.

Other than these, Mohit Sharma was one more important acquisition, as he had switched from the Delhi Capitals (DC) at a cost of Rs 2.2 crores. Likewise, Simarjeet Singh shifted from Delhi Capitals to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Rs 1.5 crore.

His base price for the auction was Rs 30 lakh, and an immediate war of bidding was started by the two teams, RCB and SRH for bond that created the feverish competition among them-persisting bids. As the interest from the franchises increased, bids on demand soon crossed Rs 1 crore and aggressive RCB bids reached as high as Rs 2 crore before SRH dropped out of the bidding.

But Delhi Capitals again entered with the Right to Match (RTM) card. However, nothing disheartened RCB, and the bidding process kept up to end getting Rasikh Salam for the sensational amount of Rs 6 crore, while DC had to draw aside.

His proved value as a sturdy domestic performer, nervous-but-effective pressure handler exceeded by his early formations made him perhaps the most prized acquisition by RCB as they continued building up their arsenal for IPL 2024.

Veteran pacer Mohit Sharma, with a base price of Rs 50 lakhs, drew bids from Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals. The opening round of bidding went upwards of Rs 1 crore and included PBKS briefly contemplating a bid against GT before folding. The two franchises continued their final bit of competitive bidding for the effective bowler and DC ultimately came out of it with the talented pacer at 2.2 crore.

The talented pacer Akash Madhwal, who made quite a name for himself in IPL 2023 has, of course, witnessed Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) fight it out for his services. And finally, after an intense fight of almost bidding war, RR won him over for Rs 1.2 crore.

Vyshak Vijaykumar was at Rs30 Lakhs when the tussle between Gujarat Titans and Punjab Kings started. The amount quickly exceeded Rs1 crore, but it was PBKS who finally nailed it for Rs1.8 crore.
