This is perhaps the first time in India that an industrialist has made such a provision in his will.

Ratan Tata Property News in Hindi: Ratan Tata, who led the country's largest industrial house Tata Group for many years, passed away recently. He has left behind assets worth about Rs 10 thousand crores. He has given the responsibility of implementing his will to four people.

In his will he made arrangements to ensure the 'eternal' care of his German Shepherd dog Tito. This is perhaps the first time in India that an industrialist has made such a provision in his will.

It is not unusual in Western countries to leave property to pets, but in India, Ratan Tata has given his estate to his foundation, brother Jimmy Tata, half-sisters Shirin and Diana Jeejeebhoy, house staff and others.

Tata's assets include a 2,000-square-foot bungalow in Alibaug, a two-storey house in Juhu, Mumbai, an FD worth Rs 350 crore and a 0.83 per cent stake in Tata Sons, the Tata group's holding company. Tito was adopted by Ratan Tata five-six years ago.

He has given the responsibility of taking care of it to his cook Rajan Shaw. The will also includes provisions for his butler Subiya, who was associated with Ratan Tata for three decades. It is also believed that Ratan Tata bought designer clothes for Shaw and Subiya during their trips abroad.
