Tezzbuzz Desk – Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar 2 (Dhurandhar: The Revenge) continues to perform well at the box office. Even after 19 days of release, the film’s earnings are not showing any signs of stopping and it has created a new history by joining the Rs 1000 crore club in just 18 days.
However, different opinions are being seen among the audience regarding the film. While on one hand some people are praising its story and presentation, on the other hand some are also calling it a propaganda film. Amidst this debate, actor and MP Ravi Kishan has now openly come out in support of the film.
Ravi Kishan clearly said that it is completely wrong to call Dhurandhar 2 propaganda. Appealing to the audience, he said that this film should be supported as it has not only brought the audience back to the theaters but has also given new energy to the industry.
He said that nowadays there has been a trend of calling films ‘propaganda’ without any reason, which is not right. According to him, filmmakers create stories by taking inspiration from real events and news and present them in a cinematic style, which should be appreciated.
Not only this, Ravi Kishan also compared this film with a classic film like Sholay. He believes that just as ‘Sholay’ had given a new direction to cinema in its time, similarly Dhurandhar 2 is also proving to be important for the industry in today’s times.
At the same time, he also said that the success of the film benefits millions of people in the industry, because the livelihood of many people associated with cinema depends on it. In such a situation, it is not right to drag films into controversies unnecessarily.
Talking about the work front, these days Ravi Kishan is also in the news for his courtroom drama series Mamla Legal Hai 2.
