Ravi Shastri slams Virat Kohli after shocking run-out in Mumbai test

Former India head coach Ravi Shastri was miffed with Virat Kohli after his shocking run-out in the Mumbai Test match against New Zealand. Kohli, who amassed four runs, was dismissed in the last over of the day.

Kohli tried to take a quick single but was found short of the crease while taking-on Matt Henry. Shastri hit out at the the former India captain for throwing away his wicket. Kohli’s dismissal was the fourth of the Indian innings as India posted 86/4.

“What a waste of a wicket. I don’t know what was going through Virat Kohli’s mind,” Ravi Shastri said.

Virat Kohli was furious with himself and India still trail New Zealand by 149 runs.

Kohli has scored only 92 runs from five innings at an average of 16.40 in three-match series against New Zealand..Barring his 70-run innings in the second innings of the first Test in Bengaluru, Kohli has looked clueless.

Earlier, India dismissed the Black Caps out for 235 in 65.4 overs. Ravindra Jadeja took five wickets in the first essay..Will Young, Tom Blundell, Glenn Phillips, Ish Sodhi and Matt Henry were his victims. Washington Sundar managed four scalps.
