Ravindra Jadeja to play in Saurashtra’s upcoming Ranji Trophy match against Delhi | Read

Ravindra Jadeja will feature in Saurashtra’s next Ranji Trophy fixture against Delhi beginning on January 23 at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.

SCA secretary Himanshu Shah has confirmed that Jadeja will play.

Saurashtra announced a 17-member squad on January 13 for the next leg of the Ranji Trophy, which did not include the experienced all-rounder.

The decision comes in the wake of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s feelers to all the cricketers to make the best effort to play in the remaining domestic first-class season.

Jadeja made a significant impact in his last Ranji Trophy appearance for Saurashtra against Tamil Nadu in January 2023, taking eight wickets. More recently, he featured in three of the five Tests during India’s tour of Australia.

In 135 first-class matches, Jadeja has taken 542 wickets at an average of 23.88 and has scored 7466 runs with 13 centuries and 39 fifties.

The Saurashtra versus Delhi match will also witness another India international in action. Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishab Pant is all set to represent Delhi in this match.
