1 cup refined oil
1 cup gram flour
1 teaspoon chili powder
water as required
salt as required
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
2 pinches baking soda
1/2 teaspoon thymol seeds
2 pinch asafoetida
Step 1
Peel the raw banana and cut it into slices. Once done, keep the bananas aside.
Step 2
In a deep-bottomed bowl, add gram flour, asafoetida, chilli powder, turmeric, thymol seeds, baking soda and salt. Add enough water and mix until you get a thick mixture.

Place a deep-bottomed pan on medium flame and add refined oil into it. Let the oil heat and dip the banana slices in the prepared batter. When the oil is hot enough, carefully drop the banana slices into the oil.

Fry the banana slices until golden. Place them on a tissue and let the excess oil absorb. serve hot!
