‘Ray of hope’ spread warmth in the bone-chilling cold, faces lit up when 150 poor people got blankets!

Yameen Vikat, Thakurdwara. Severe cold and cold wave continue to wreak havoc in Thakurdwara, Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, ‘Asha Ki Kiran Society’ has once again come forward as an angel to help the destitute and poor people. Following its annual tradition, this year also the Society took the initiative to protect the needy people of the city from the cold and distributed warm sheets to about 150 people.

The sight of this special blanket distribution camp organized in Bazaar Ganj area of ​​the city was very emotional. Police Officer (CO) Ashish Pratap Singh was present as the chief guest in this program organized under the leadership of Society President Ikram Qureshi. He presented bedsheets to the helpless people with his own hands. As soon as the new paper came into the hands of the elderly and the needy, happiness was clearly visible in their eyes and relief on their faces. People prayed for this noble work of the society.

Addressing the program, Society President Ikram Qureshi said that the poor and destitute people are hit the hardest in the harsh cold. They do not have adequate means to protect themselves from the cold, in such a situation it is our biggest responsibility as a society to help them. He promised that Asha Ki Kiran Society will continue similar service work in future also so that no needy has to suffer due to lack of help.

Police and administration also appreciated the initiative

Deputy SP Ashish Pratap Singh, present on the spot, praised the efforts of the society. He said that when social organizations along with police and administration take up such responsibilities, positive change comes in the society. He wished the members of the Society all the best for the future. During this program, many stalwarts from police administration to business circles were present, among whom prominent names like Sub-Inspector Ompal Singh, Sanjeev Singhal, Shahnawaz Khan and Councilor Nadeem Siddiqui were present.
