RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das received this special award from American magazine, A+ grading for the second consecutive time.

Mumbai :Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das has been ranked as the top central banker by the American magazine 'Global Finance' for the second consecutive year. They have been awarded A+ rating in the 'Central Bank Report Card' for 2024. This award was presented recently in a program organized in Washington DC, USA.

Sharing information about this achievement in a post on social media platform X, RBI wrote, “Governor Shaktikanta Das has been awarded 'A Plus' for the second consecutive year.” The award acknowledged Das's economic policies and decisions, including his success in controlling inflation, achieving economic growth targets, currency stability and interest rate management.

Global Finance said in its statement that central bankers are rated on a scale from 'A' to 'F', where 'A' indicates excellent performance and 'F' indicates complete failure. Apart from Das, Denmark's Christian Ketel Thomsen and Switzerland's Thomas Jordan have also been ranked in the A+ category.

This honor gives global recognition to Das's efficiency and RBI's policies, which have been helpful in strengthening India's economic condition. Under Das's leadership, the RBI has not only maintained economic stability but has also played an important role in stimulating the country's economy during the pandemic.
