In the match being played between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati, 15 year old Vaibhav Suryavanshi once again created history with his explosive batting. In this match, while chasing RCB’s target of 202 runs, Vaibhav completed his half-century in just 15 balls. He achieved this feat by hitting a six off Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the fifth over. This is his second half-century this season, when he has scored fifty in 15 or less balls. Earlier, he had also scored fifty in 15 balls against Chennai Super Kings in the first match of Rajasthan Royals.
With this, Vaibhav Suryavanshi has become the second batsman in IPL history to score a half-century in 15 or less balls twice. Before him, only Australian batsman Jake Fraser-McGurk could achieve this feat. Apart from this, Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Pat Cummins, Romario Shepherd, Yusuf Pathan, Sunil Narine and Nicholas Pooran have also achieved this feat once each.
