Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) fast bowler Yash Dayal, who is in controversy, has got married secretly. Yash Dayal has made content creator Shweta Pundhir his partner. According to reports, the two exchanged vows in a private ceremony in Noida on February 4. This marriage was kept so secret that no one was invited except Yash Dayal and Shweta’s family and close friends. Media also did not have entry. There is no news of anyone’s involvement from the cricket world.

Yash Dayal is surrounded by allegations of sexual exploitation

Yash Dayal is away from the field since IPL 2025. He is facing sexual assault charges. After IPL 2025, a woman from Ghaziabad had accused Dayal of sexual harassment. While sharing her old photos and old chats, the woman had alleged that Dayal had emotionally and physically abused her for five years on the pretext of marriage. After this a case was registered against Dayal.

This matter was not even settled when a case of rape of a minor was registered against Dayal in Jaipur also. It is alleged that Dayal had raped a 17-year-old girl in 2023 under the guise of helping her in her cricket career. An FIR was registered against him under the POCSO Act at Sanganer Sadar police station in Jaipur. Dayal had filed a petition for anticipatory bail in this case, which was rejected by the court. However, the very next month the court stayed the arrest with certain conditions.

Who is Shweta Pundhir?

Shweta Pundhir is a resident of Delhi. He is a social media influencer and vlogger. He has also worked as a broadcaster in the Intercontinental Legends League. He has about 5.87 lakh followers on Instagram. Shweta shared a reel with Yash Dayal on her Instagram account on March 14, after which their relationship was revealed.

Will Dayal play in IPL 2026?

Despite the serious allegations against Yash Dayal, RCB retained him for the upcoming season. RCB faced a lot of criticism after this decision. However, RCB did not give any statement on this matter.
