New Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL), one of the most prestigious leagues in the world, is going to start at the end of this month. Meanwhile, there is a happy news for the fans of defending champion RCB, as the team management has officially announced the venue of their home matches.

Location of RCB home matches

There was a discussion going on for a long time about where RCB will play its home matches this year, and now the answer has been found. According to the information received, RCB will play five of its seven home matches at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The remaining two matches will be held at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.

Security measures at Chinnaswamy Stadium

After winning the title last season, the stampede incident at Chinnaswamy Stadium had left everyone in deep shock, in which 11 people lost their lives. No home match was held there after this incident, raising fears that RCB might have to stay away from its traditional ground due to security reasons. But now the management has clarified that all necessary security arrangements have been completed.

Cooperation of Karnataka government and administration

RCB management said in its statement that this decision was coordinated with the administration for several months. The club has given special thanks to the Karnataka Government, Karnataka Pradesh Cricket Association and Karnataka Police. This is also a special occasion for the cricket lovers of Chhattisgarh, because with Raipur hosting two matches, the fans will be able to see the defending champion in their city.
