Will Josh Hazlewood play all the remaining matches for RCB? The fast bowler himself told the truth

Royal Challengers Bangalore fast bowler Josh Hazlewood returned to the playing eleven against Rajasthan Royals after missing the first three matches of IPL 2026 but he was dropped from the team in the big match against Mumbai Indians and Jacob Duffy got the chance in his place. After this, Hazlewood returned in RCB’s next match against Lucknow and left an impression with his bowling.

However, seeing Hazlewood in and out of the team, questions started rising in the minds of the fans whether Hazlewood is completely fit or not and whether he will play all the remaining matches for RCB or he needs to manage the workload. After the match against LSG, the 35-year-old opened up on the issue and said that his aim is to play all the remaining matches and RCB’s schedule allows him to do so.

In the post-match presentation, Hazlewood said, “The plan is that hopefully I will keep playing. Our schedule from here is very good, so hopefully I will keep playing. The journey of the last few months has been a bit long, but yes, I think my ‘rust’ went away in the last match against Rajasthan. Today I felt a lot better and my rhythm also seems good.”

Speaking further, Hazlewood said, “I thought all the bowlers bowled brilliantly. I would like to bowl some different types of balls as well, but as a Test bowler, it is very difficult to bowl good slow balls. I am always working on them. You always have to have such weapons in your quiver and keep moving forward. Obviously Rasikh Salaam has not played the first few matches, but he has been selected in the team for the last few matches. And he has been training very hard and we have seen it in the last few matches. It is a big tournament for Rasikh.”
