RCB Target Players: Royal Challengers Bengaluru has spent INR 37 crore on retentions and will enter the auction with a remaining purse value of INR 83 Crore.
According to the new IPL 2025 retention rules released by BCCI, each team can retain six players from their existing squad via retention or the Right to Match (RTM) option.
The Bengaluru franchise has retained only three players and will have the Right to Match option to buy back some players during the IPL 2025 mega auction. Despite having a strong batting lineup, the team is yet to clinch their maiden IPL trophy. The side will need a strong bowling unit that can win RCB the first title.

Yuzvendra Chahal
Yuzvendra Chahal joined RCB in 2014 and remained with the team since 2021 season. His breakthrough season comes from 2015 where he picked 23 wickets and helped the side to reach playoffs.
His 21 wicket scalp during 2016 season, RCB emerged as runner up in 2016. He also picked a total of 39 wickets in 2020 and 21 season. He has scalped 139 wickets in 113 games for the franchise. Out of those, 52 wickets come from home venue M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
His addition to the team will significantly boost the strength in bowling attack which the side lacks over time.
KL Rahul
The consistent middle order batter has scored over 4000 runs in the IPL, consistently averaging above 40 with a strong strike rate. Along with the stats, KL Rahul’s captaincy and wicketkeeping skills will make him a asset for any team buys him.
T.Natarajan
Being a yorker specialist, T. Natarajan has been evolved into a more versatile bowler. With Natarajan being more impressive with defensive skills that he even bowled a triple-wicket maiden.
Natrajan has an economy rate of 8.83 which displays his effectiveness in containing runs while taking wickets.
Glenn Maxwell
The Australia all-rounder had struggled throughout the IPL 2024 season as he scored only 52 runs in 10 matches. Despite this, Maxwell remains a top player in T20 format globally. Known for his power hitting and off spin bowling.
Kagiso Rabada
Kagiso Rabada is one of the best fast bowlers in the World across formats and was a key contributor to South Africa’s success in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
He was with Punjab for the last three seasons at the price of INR 9.25 crore and picked 41 wickets in 30 outings.

The IPL governing council has confirmed that the mega auction will be held in November 24 and 25 at Jeddah. Despite the event being hosted overseas, IPL fans can still enjoy the IPL 2025 auction live streaming from their home.
