RCB's 11 crore player again misses out on playing big innings, could not set form before mega auction

IPL 2025: Apart from Virat Kohli, RCB has included Rajat Patidar and Yash Dayal in its retention list for IPL 2025. Virat Kohli has been retained for Rs 21 crore, while Patidar has got Rs 11 crore and Dayal has got Rs 4 crore. However, Rajat Patidar, playing his first match after being retained, failed miserably in the Ranji Trophy. He did not play a big innings against Bihar.

11 crore player failed

Ranji Trophy matches are being played from 6th November, in which teams from Bihar and Madhya Pradesh are also playing. This match is being played in Patna. However, Rajat Patidar could not impress much for MP, who was batting first in this match. Patidar was out in this match after scoring 45 runs in 49 balls. A big innings was expected from him. But Patidar could not even score a half-century. During his innings he hit 8 fours in his name.

Till the time of writing the news, Madhya Pradesh has scored 212/4 runs in 60 overs. Opener Yash Dubey scored 21 runs in 47 balls, while Himanshu Mantri contributed 41 runs. Harpreet Singh scored 20 runs in 43 balls.

At the beginning of the year, Patidar was made a part of the Indian team for the 5-match Test series played against England. But his bat could not work. He scored 63 runs in 3 matches at an average of 10.50. He has scored 22 runs in 1 ODI match for India.
