In an Indian family, a thali is considered incomplete without dal and rice. There is definitely dal, rice and roti in the plate. Many people prefer to eat rice instead of roti. People of Bihar and South India like to eat rice and things made from rice. Idli, Dosi, Pulao, Biryani and Khichdi etc.
Most people cannot fill their stomach without eating rice. But do you know that rice should be eaten according to age.

According to a report, an adult should consume six servings of grains every day, in which you can also include rice. Along with this, whole grains should also be included in your diet. You can also include brown rice or black rice in it.

A child aged one to three years can eat one-fourth cup of cooked rice. Whereas children of four to six years of age can be given one-third cup of cooked rice. Children above seven years of age can be given half cup of cooked rice.

People aged 13 years and above are advised to consume 6 ½ cups of cooked rice in their diet which may include rice.
Girls aged 14 to 18 years should consume 6 servings of cereals and boys should consume 7 servings of cereals.

Men between the age of 19 to 50 years should eat 8 servings and women should eat 6-7 half cups of cooked rice. Women above 51 years of age are advised to consume 6 ½ cups of cooked rice cereal and men are advised to consume 7 ½ cups of cooked rice.
