20-year-old Christopher Hellenthal proved that heroes are not just in stories by his bravery and wisdom in helping a man in a wheelchair cross the road safely.

Saw the scene while returning from work

The incident occurred when Christopher was returning from attending a superhero-themed event at a local trampoline park. He works at the same park and often dons a Spider-Man costume to entertain children. While driving he saw a disabled man struggling with his wheelchair to cross a very busy six-lane road.

Bravery shown amidst traffic

According to the footage captured in the traffic camera, the disabled person was in the middle of the intersection and the vehicles were stopped due to the red light. As soon as Christopher’s eyes fell on them, without wasting any time he left his car in the middle of the road and came out.

He ran quickly, grabbed the wheelchair and took the person safely to the shore before the traffic signal turned green. Christopher later told that he simply told the person that I got you.
