Speculation about a possible divorce between Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma has been circulating widely in recent weeks.
New Delhi: Amid swirling speculation about his divorce from wife Dhanashree Verma, Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal recently shared another cryptic post on social media. In the past few weeks, rumors about Chahal and Dhanashree’s relationship troubles have been rampant, with the cricketer posting several ambiguous messages. However, there has been no official statement confirming any separation. Chahal and Dhanashree, a YouTuber, dance choreographer, and dentist, tied the knot on December 22, 2020, after getting engaged in August of the same year.
Chahal’s recent Instagram update appears to be another mysterious message amidst ongoing divorce speculation.
“Real love is rare. Hi, my name is ‘Rare’,” captioned Chahal on Instagram, alongside a series of pictures.
The wrist spinner, with 121 ODI wickets and 96 T20I wickets for India, and holding the record as the highest wicket-taker in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has shared several enigmatic posts over the past few weeks.
“Silence is a profound melody, for those who can hear it above all the noise. – Socrates,” Chahal had earlier posted.
Yuzvendra Chahal had also thanked his fans for their support in a long Instagram post, where he stated that the speculation surrounding his divorce “may or may not be true”.
At the same time, Chahal’s wife Dhanashree addressed the growing online negativity surrounding her amid the divorce speculations and shared her thoughts on Instagram.
“The past few days have been incredibly tough for my family and me. What’s truly upsetting is the baseless writing, devoid of fact-checking, and the character assassination of my reputation by faceless trolls spreading hate,” Dhanashree wrote in a long post on her Instagram story.
Chahal, meanwhile, has not played for India in any format since August 2023. Recently, ex-India cricketer and commentator Aakash Chopra criticized the BCCI and Team India management for seemingly ending Chahal’s career without a clear explanation.
