Realme GT 7 Pro will be launched in India with small battery capacity, pre-booking for Rs 999

Realme GT 7 Prowhich has already launched in China, will launch globally on November 26. While the key specs of the device are expected to be the same as the Chinese variant, there are some changes that might not be welcome. The global version of the smartphone will feature a smaller battery and it has been revealed on Amazon India's dedicated page for the device.

The global variant has a 6500 mAh battery, but the Indian variant/global variant has a 5800 mAh battery. Mathematically speaking, the battery in the global unit is 10 percent less than the Chinese unit. GSMArena spoke to Realme India about the small capacity battery on the device and the device makers explained that it had something to do with 'regulations'.

It can be assumed that the manufacturer has reduced the battery size of the device to keep the price low. Hopefully the real reason will be known when the device is launched in India on November 26.

Realme GT 7 Pro Specifications (China)

Realme GT 7 Pro has a 6.78-inch 2K Eco2 Sky screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. The peak brightness is 6000nits, while the instant touch sampling rate is 2600Hz. The device is powered by Qualcomm's flagship SoC Snapdragon 8 Elite and is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Storage is up to 1TB (UFS 4.0).

Android 15-based Realme UI 6.0 is provided out of the box. Talking about the camera, the GT 7 Pro is equipped with a triple camera system which includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX906 primary sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter and a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom. Zoom supported. The smartphone has a 16-megapixel sensor for selfie. For security reasons, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor has been provided on the device.

The Realme GT 7 Pro packs a 6,500mAh battery that supports 120W wired fast charging. Connectivity options in the smartphone include 5G, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GALILEO, Beidou, QZSS, NFC and USB Type-C port. The phone has been given IP68 and IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.
