Received threat to bomb Delhi-Patna flight, email sent to SpiceJet
Desk: There was panic in the airport and security agencies after the SpiceJet plane going from Delhi to Patna received a bomb threat. This threat was sent to the Delhi-based official email ID of SpiceJet. In which it was only written that a bomb was planted in a flight going from Delhi to Patna. However, it was not made clear in the mail which aircraft contained the bomb.

Airport Authority of India Alert
As soon as the email was received, the airlines immediately informed the Patna Airport administration, after which the Airport Authority of India (AAI) was also alerted. Considering the seriousness of the matter, bomb disposal squad, CISF and other security agencies were activated. Under all necessary security protocols, a thorough investigation of the suspicious aircraft and the airport premises was carried out. After a long search, no suspicious object or explosive was found anywhere, after which the administration heaved a sigh of relief. After the completion of the investigation, the situation was declared normal.
Case registered in Patna airport police station
In this case, on the written application of SpiceJet employee Shahnawaz Bakht, a case has been registered against unknown at Patna Airport Police Station. The FIR states that the threat was sent from an email ID named Bhulijanm856@gmail.com.

Police and cyber cell active
After the case was registered, the police and cyber cell came into action. To identify the sender of the threat, the IP address of the email is being traced and technical information related to Gmail has been sought. Official police sources say that in the initial investigation it appears to be the handiwork of some mischievous element, although investigation is being done from all aspects.
