Redmi A4 Can Be Cheapest 5G Phone At Under Rs 10,000

The much awaited, the first in line,  Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 phone is here as the freshly announced Redmi A4 5G.

Xiaomi Launching Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 Phone

Reportedly, Xiaomi showcased the Redmi A4 5G at the Indian Mobile Congress (2024) in partnership with Qualcomm being India’s first smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 Mobile Platform, as it had promised.

Those who are looking forward to this, the device will soon be launched in India with a retail price of under INR 10,000 ($120).

Yess ! You read right as this is going to be one of the most affordable 5G phones in the country.

It appears that the mobile maker seems to be all set to redefine the entry-level smartphone experience in India by delivering enhanced 5G connectivity to millions, the company said in a media interaction.

For the unawares, the Redmi A4 5G has quite a resemblance to the Redmi 14R and Redmi 14C as this smartphone also sports a large circular camera island with a 50MP main cam.

Bringing Advanced Technology For Everyone

While talking about this latest launch, President of Xiaomi India, Muralikrishnan B said “ As we celebrate 10 years in India, the Redmi A4 5G marks a significant milestone in our ongoing mission to bring advanced technology to every Indian. Designed exclusively for the Indian market, it embodies our vision of ‘5G for Everyone’, bridging the digital divide. With this device, we aim to accelerate India’s shift to 5G, delivering an enhanced entry-level smartphone experience.”

As expected, Xiaomi has not revealed the Redmi A4 5G’s full spec sheet.

But no need to worry as the device is expected to carry a 6.7-inch LCD with HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.

Besides this, there are speculations regarding a 8MP front-facing shooter as well as a 5,000 mAh battery with 18W charging support.

In addition to this the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chip uses the same 4nm processing node as the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 which offers support for up to 90fps FHD+ displays compared, has dual 12-bit ISP camera support, packs a powerful modem for Gigabit 5G connectivity, and supports Dual-frequency GNSS (L1 + L5), including NAVIC.
