Hospitals running without registration, without license
Let us tell you that there is a network of such hospitals spread across the district which are being operated illegally. Some hospitals do not have doctors and some do not even have a license. Some hospitals are even claiming to treat serious patients by writing as Trauma Centre. But in reality they do not even have doctors and paramedical staff. Such so-called hospitals are playing with the lives of the patients and also extort money from them. It is common for doctors to promote themselves by putting up boards at various places, according to the information received, this is completely banned under the Medical Council Act.
Arrangements have been made for doctors to be promoted, but they can do so only under special circumstances. When a doctor starts practice, goes on leave, changes his place or changes his method of treatment, he can advertise once. Doctors cannot put up their boards anywhere other than their home and clinic. This comes under the scope of propaganda. Doctors cannot even put their photographs on the board. It is necessary to have the doctor's registration number on the board and prescription. Apart from this, no doctor can claim 100% cure for any disease. Generally, the Council does not take suo motu cognizance against any doctor, but when any complaint is received, the Ethics Committee investigates. If the complaint is found to be true, it writes to the DM and CMO of the concerned district for warning, whereas in serious cases, even the doctor's registration is cancelled.
