Historic decision of Rekha Gupta government, 717 slum dwellers will get permanent houses

Rekha Gupta News: Rekha Gupta government of Delhi has taken a historic decision for the poor. CM Rekha Gupta has taken an important decision to provide permanent houses to 717 slum dwellers in Savda-Ghevra. The decision was taken at the DUSIB meeting, which included 528 eligible and 189 ineligible beneficiaries. The Central Government will provide assistance of ₹1,12,000 per beneficiary.

Actually, the 35th board meeting of DUSIB (Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board) was held under the chairmanship of CM Rekha Gupta. In the meeting, a major decision was taken to provide housing to 717 slum dwellers in EWS flats located at Savda-Ghevra.

These 717 beneficiaries include 528 eligible and 189 ineligible category slum dwellers. An assistance amount of ₹ 1,12,000 for each beneficiary will be given to DUSIB by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs of the Central Government. The beneficiaries will have to deposit a sum of ₹30,000 within three months for the maintenance of their flat. This step is considered important towards strengthening the slum rehabilitation policy and providing permanent housing to the urban poor.
