New Delhi : Reliance, the company of the country's richest person Mukesh Ambani, has done a big thing today. It is being told that Reliance Industries has acquired technology based health care platform Karkinos for Rs 375 crore.

Giving information on Saturday, Reliance Industries said that its wholly owned subsidiary Reliance Strategic Business Ventures i.e. RSBVL has completed the acquisition of Karkinos Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. with the allotment of necessary shares.

Technology Based Solution

Carkinos was incorporated in India on July 24, 2020 and the company provides technology-based solutions for early detection and treatment of cancer. Its previous major investors include Evert Investments Limited i.e. a 100 percent subsidiary of Tata Sons, Reliance Digital Health Limited i.e. a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, Mayo Clinic i.e. US, Sundar Raman i.e. Director of Reliance Foundation Youth Sports and Ravi Kant i.e. Tata Motors. Former MDs were involved.

Partnership with hospitals

The company provides services related to early detection and effective treatment of cancer, whose cost is much lower than the current rates. Despite this the company is earning good profits. The company has partnered with around 60 hospitals by December 2023.
