Reliance makes more than 1 lakh new recruitments, 2 lakh jobs expected from green energy
Reliance Group made more than 1 lakh new recruitments in the financial year 2025-26. According to the latest annual report of the company, by March 31, 2026, the total number of employees of Reliance has increased to 4,19,911. During this period, the company paid special attention to adding new talent in areas like AI, data science, automation and digital transformation. According to Reliance, this recruitment shows the company’s change, under which it is promoting itself as an AI-first and deep-tech company.
The company’s next big hope on the employment front is from the green energy business. The Dhirubhai Ambani Green Energy Giga Complex being built in Jamnagar has the potential to generate more than 2 lakh green jobs in the economy. According to the company, this shift towards clean energy could become the next big engine of employment for the group.
The company is not limited to just providing jobs, but also invests heavily in its employees. According to the report, Reliance spent ₹30,318 crore on employees in FY26, which is 6.2 percent more than ₹28,559 crore in the previous financial year. During this period, the company also received the title of ‘Great Place to Work’ for the sixth consecutive year. Reliance was also recognized among the Top Leadership Factories in India by the Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards 2024 and the Great Manager Institute.
Reliance also registered progress on the front of women participation. In FY26, the share of women in leadership positions in the group stood at 14.7 per cent, while the share in jobs directly related to earnings was 30.6 per cent. Jio also used an AI-based recruitment platform that works in 11 languages, which aims to make the recruitment process more fair. The company’s Graduate Engineer Trainee program received 53,900 registrations in FY26, increasing reach to candidates in remote areas.
