LPG Crisis Relief: Today there is relief news for the people troubled by the shortage of LPG in the country. The government has confirmed that two big ships, carrying a total of 94 thousand metric tons of LPG, are leaving for India. One of these ships is going to reach Mundra Port in Gujarat today itself, while the other will arrive in April. The Indian Navy is protecting these ships. With the arrival of such a large consignment, the shortage of LPG is expected to reduce and long lines for gas will also reduce.

Meanwhile, to ensure availability of oil and gas, the government has also relaxed the rules for supply of kerosene. Now kerosene will be available at two public petrol pumps in every district for the next 60 days in 21 states and union territories.

under the new rules

  • A maximum of 5 thousand liters of kerosene can be kept at petrol pumps.
  • It will be used only for cooking and lighting.
  • It will be necessary to keep complete records of stock and distribution.
  • Administrative agencies can investigate anytime.
  • Kerosene supplying agents and dealers have been exempted from some licenses.

The government has made it clear that the stock of oil and gas in the country is sufficient. This step has been taken only for the convenience of the people and to stop those spreading rumours.

At the same time, in Bhopal, the Food Department caught some persons who had hidden 59 cylinders. Gas supply has been restored at petrol pumps in Lucknow, and cylinders are being distributed under police surveillance.
