Remo Dsouza and Lizelle Dsouza issue a joint statement post the defrauding case filed against them

According to many news sources from yesterday, a dancing group filed a complaint against Remo Dsouza, his wife, Lizelle Dsouza, and a number of other people, putting them in legal complications. The defendants allegedly defrauded the group out of Rs 11.96 crore. The celebrity pair posted an explanation on social media shortly after the news went viral.

Remo and Lizelle Dsouza jointly posted a statement on Instagram in response to press reports that claimed they had defrauded dance soldiers out of Rs 11.96 crore. They wrote, “It has come to our notice through media reports that some complaint has been registered alleging fraud in regards to a certain dance troupe. It’s disheartening that such information has been published. We would like to request everyone to abstain from spreading rumors before ascertaining true facts.”

The statement added, “We shall put our case forward in due time and will continue to cooperate with the authorities in every way possible like we have done so far. We would like to thank our family, friends, and fans for the outpouring of love and continuous support. Love always. Lizelle & Remo.”

A 26-year-old dancer complained about them, according to news agency PTI. A complaint has been filed against all of them in Maharashtra’s Thane district for allegedly defrauding a dancing troupe of Rs 11.96 crore, the police said on Saturday. According to an official, Remo, his wife Lizelle, and five other people were charged with forgery under section 465, cheating under section 420, and other pertinent provisions of the Indian Penal Code on October 16 at the Mira Road police station.

The 26-year-old dancer and his group were allegedly defrauded between 2018 and July 2024, according to the FIR.
