Looking ahead, the company has also confirmed plans to introduce a hybrid version. This will use a 1.8-litre petrol engine combined with a 1.4 kWh battery. The combined output of this E-Tech 160 setup is expected to be 160 hp and 172 Nm of torque. Renault says the 1.8-litre E-Tech strong hybrid can run on electric power for up to 80% of city driving, which should help boost efficiency. It will be interesting to see what kind of real-world mileage this version delivers.
