Reservation list released in Supaul regarding Panchayat elections 2026, objections will be registered till May 18

As part of the preparation for Panchayat General Election 2026, Supaul District Administration has published Form-1 related to reservation. According to the order issued by the District Magistrate-cum-District Election Officer, on the instructions of Bihar State Election Commission, reservation list has been issued for various posts of Gram Panchayat, Panchayat Samiti and Zilla Parishad on the basis of population of the year 2011.

As per the ongoing schedule, the initial publication of Form-1 is scheduled for 4th May 2026. Claims and objections have been invited from the general public on this, which can be submitted in the concerned offices from May 4 to May 18, 2026. The objections received will be disposed of by May 22, 2026, while the cases related to appeals will be disposed of by May 29, 2026.

The administration has informed that the final publication of Form-1 will be done on June 5, 2026, while its publication in the District Gazette is proposed on June 9, 2026.

Officers have been appointed at different levels to submit claims and objections. The responsibility has been given to Block Development Officer for the post of Gram Panchayat and Panchayat Samiti member, Sub-Divisional Officer for District Council member and District Officer as appellate authority.

The district administration has directed all concerned officials to ensure publication of Form-1 on the notice boards of their respective offices, so that common citizens can get information about it.

The administration has clarified that objections related to population data only will be accepted. The further process of Panchayat elections will be accelerated only after the final list is released.
