New Delhi: New rules regarding IPL retention may be announced soon on Saturday. The Governing Council of IPL is going to meet in Bengaluru on Saturday regarding the new rules related to IPL, after which it will also be revealed what will be the new rules for the upcoming IPL 2025.

Many issues will be discussed in this meeting and during this, along with the rules of IPL, the dates of IPL auction can also be revealed. If reports are to be believed, BCCI can give each team the option to retain 5 to 6 players.

According to the report of Cricbuzz, this Governing Council meeting of IPL will be held in Bangalore on Saturday. This time, before the mega auction of IPL, there are going to be major changes in the rules of IPL. There is also a possibility that this time teams may get a chance to retain between 2 to 8 players. BCCI can also give the option of 5 to 6 players for this. Along with this, the date of auction can also be finalized.

It was also discussed in this meeting that in the IPL, foreign players from Australia, England and West Indies refuse to play just before the league after being sold after the auction.
