Revenge of 1971 or new Chakravyuh? Pakistan’s dangerous move in collaboration with China in the Bay of Bengal

A very sensitive and strategically worrying news is coming out from the Indian subcontinent and the Indian Ocean region at this time. Defense experts believe that till date Pakistan has not been able to forget the wounds of the historic and crushing defeat suffered in the 1971 war. This is the reason why instead of directly attacking, it is now hatching a very dangerous conspiracy at the instigation of China to surround India from the eastern sea border. According to the latest intelligence and satellite reports, the navies of Pakistan and China are jointly intensifying their activities in the strategic waters of the Bay of Bengal. This new maritime alliance has put Indian security agencies and naval think tanks on full alert mode. The truth of the Jugalbandhi of Dragon and Moon in the Bay of Bengal Traditionally, the main focus of Pakistan Navy has been on the Arabian Sea, which is adjacent to its geographical border. But for some time now, with the help of the Chinese Navy (PLA Navy), the presence of Pakistani warships and submarines is continuously being seen near the eastern coast of India i.e. the Bay of Bengal. China is trying to provide a new base to Pakistan by using the port infrastructure of smaller countries in the region, such as Myanmar and Bangladesh. Diplomatic experts say that China wants to surround India from all sides under its ‘String of Pearls’ strategy and in this work it is using Pakistan as a pawn. How big is this new challenge for the Indian Navy? This joint activity in the Bay of Bengal has raised many serious questions about India’s national security. This area is also very important for India because many of the country’s strategic assets are present here, which include the Naval Base of Visakhapatnam, the Missile Testing Range of Abdul Kalam Island and the important nuclear submarine manufacturing center. If submarines of Pakistan and China become active in this area, they can spy on India’s missile tests and naval activities. According to defense analysts, this situation is a deliberate attempt by the Indian Navy to create a ‘two-front war’ like situation at sea, to deal with which India will have to further modernize its maritime power. India’s counter plan: Preparation to penetrate the Chakravyuh in the Indian Ocean. In view of this double threat, New Delhi has also started laying its strategic chessboard. The Indian Navy has increased its patrolling and anti-submarine surveillance manifold in the Bay of Bengal and around the Andaman Nicobar Islands. India is also strengthening its hold in this region through ‘Quad’ countries in collaboration with the American and Japanese navies, so that Chinese dominance can be challenged. Along with this, India has deployed its P-8I Poseidon aircraft and modern naval drones which are capable of detecting any enemy submarine hidden under water in a moment. India’s stand is clear that any misadventure on the maritime borders will be given a very strong and decisive response.
