Strict law is going to come in Bihar regarding the security of government land, Minister Dilip Jaiswal made a big announcement.

Bihar News: In Bihar, the government has geared up to protect government land and make the functioning of the revenue department transparent. Revenue and Land Reforms Department Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal has made it clear that correcting the records of government land is the collective responsibility of every employee and officer of the department. Giving a stern warning, he said that if any government land is registered in the name of any private person, the officers and employees responsible for it will not be spared. The most stringent punitive action will be taken against them. The government is preparing to bring a new and very strict law on the table of Parliament very soon to stop such frauds.

Investigation into the functioning of three districts

Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal was holding a high-level review meeting of the department for the third consecutive day on Thursday. In this important meeting, he closely reviewed the revenue works of Supaul, Rohtas and Patna districts through video conferencing. The minister’s stance appeared very strict during the meeting. He said in clear words that corruption and negligence in work will not be tolerated at any cost. He gave a strict warning to all concerned officials to adopt a policy of zero tolerance and said that those who harass the public should improve their habits.

The game of brokers will end

The government is taking the help of digital technology to end the games in the name of land registry and mutation. In the review meeting, the Minister announced that every small and big work related to land will now be completed completely through online medium. Steps are being taken towards completely shutting down the offline system. Implementation of the online system will not only bring transparency in work, but will also provide great relief to the general public from the clutches of brokers and corruption. The Minister has directed to identify the brokers active at the zonal level and keep a strict vigil on them.

Economic Offenses Unit team will keep an eye on corrupt officers

A special cell has been formed to further strengthen the fight against corruption. The Minister informed that this special cell of the Economic Offenses Unit has been created only to keep an eye on the suspicious personnel of the Revenue Department. At present, about two hundred and fifty officers of the department are on the radar of this special cell and their every activity is being monitored. The minister clearly said that no attempt should be made to hide or protect any officer who commits irregularities.

The goal of providing residential land to landless families will be accomplished

The main focus of the government is to help the people standing at the last rung of the society. Dr. Jaiswal said that the biggest goal of the state government is to provide residential land to all eligible landless families. He directed the officials to speed up the work of identifying such poor and landless families in their respective areas so that they can be given land ownership rights as soon as possible. He also said that public complaints should be resolved within a fixed time limit, so that people do not have to make rounds of offices.

Received ultimatum of 15 days

During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the performance of Patna, Supaul and Rohtas districts and their current ranking. Expressing displeasure over the slow pace of work, he has given a strict ultimatum to the officials to show major improvements in the work within the next fifteen days. He said that the officers of all the districts will have to change their working style and work with the aim of making a place in the top-10 districts. Especially it is very important to improve the ranking of a big and important district like Patna. For this, he has entrusted the responsibility of regular monitoring of every small work to the District Magistrate and Additional Collector of Patna.

Top officials of the department were present in the meeting

Revenue Department Secretary Jai Singh also participated in this high level meeting. Giving strict instructions to the officials of the concerned districts, he said that all the pending cases should be resolved within the time limit. Through this video conferencing, District Magistrates, Additional Collectors, Land Reform Deputy Collectors and Circle Officers remained connected. Along with this, many other senior officers of the department including Special Secretary Inayat Khan, Secretary Seema Tripathi, Additional Secretary Prashant CH, Dr. Mahendra Pal, Ajeev Vatsaraj, Mani Bhushan Kishore, Mona Jha, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Arvind Kumar, Juhi Kumari and IT Manager Anand Shankar were present in the meeting.
