Review meeting of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami regarding Dehradun development works, strict instructions given to officials

Under the chairmanship of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a review meeting of development works related to district Dehradun was organized on 08 January 2026 (Thursday) at the Forest Headquarters of the capital Dehradun. Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal, Mayor Saurabh Thapliyal, District Magistrate Savin Bansal, SSP, Municipal Commissioner and officials of other departments were present in the meeting. During this, the development works done so far and the ongoing development works of the current financial year were reviewed. Chief Minister Dhami gave information about the meeting on social media.

Chief Minister gave clear instructions to officials regarding development works

During the review meeting of the development works, the Chief Minister gave clear instructions to the officials that all the departments should complete the development works in a timely manner with mutual coordination. In the meeting, instructions were given to speed up the campaign to free government land from encroachment. Every inch of government land in the state is public property, any kind of illegal encroachment on it will not be tolerated.

The process of verification of documents should be regularized – Chief Minister Dhami

The Chief Minister instructed the officials in the meeting that the process of verification of Ayushman Card, Ration Card, Family Register, Electricity Bill and other important documents should be regularized. Continuous action should be taken to cancel the documents of those whose documents have been issued incorrectly and strict action should also be taken against those who issue wrong certificates. He also directed the District Administration, Forest Department, MDDA, and Municipal Corporation to take continuous action to remove encroachments.

CM Dhami said that under the ‘People’s Government, People’s Door’ campaign, immediate solution to the problems of the citizens is the priority of the government. Through this campaign, the government is reaching out to the people, listening to their problems and ensuring their quick solution.

By thoroughly checking the family register, Ayushman card and electricity connection, it should be ensured that only eligible citizens get the benefits of government schemes. If irregularities are found on the basis of fake documents, strict action will be taken against the concerned officer.
