Riddhi Dogra, Who will soon be seen in the upcoming film 'The Sabarmati Report', has said that her character of a journalist in the film represents a system. The actress spoke to IANS ahead of the film's release and opened up about her character. From the teaser of the film, it seemed that her character is that of a news editor, but Riddhi clarified that she is playing the role of a reporter and not an editor.
The actress told IANS, “All I can say about my character Maneka Rajpurohit is that when you see her, please don't see her as a human being. Look at it as a system. She represents a system. Only then will you understand. Otherwise you will miss it. Once you see this character as a system, you will understand a lot of things.”
He further added that the character was a revelation for him. The actress told that at the beginning of her career she worked in an entertainment channel which was part of a large news group. The actress explained that she understands how news agendas are created and how they are delivered to the audience.
“I can't say many things openly right now, maybe after the release, I will be able to talk about it. But many things were a revelation to me. How can a person be in such a powerful position, yet have so many agendas behind him that drive him? Every person's professional life is a journey. One is when you start out. The second is when you get a stable job. And then whether you forget your morals or not, you change your morals. And then you slyly tell yourself that I'm still a moralist. It's all about attitude. So it's an interesting character”, he added.
