Rishab Shetty’s Jai Hanuman launch details
Sources reveal that the makers are planning a grand ceremony amid the ancient ruins and spiritual aura of Hampi. Preparations are already in full swing. The choice of location feels symbolic, given the mythological roots of the story. This sequel to the blockbuster Hanu-Man has been one of the most-awaited announcements in recent times.
Rishab Shetty will portray Lord Hanuman in the film. The project forms the next chapter in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), helmed by director Prasanth Varma.
Last year, the makers dropped a striking poster that instantly grabbed attention. Shared by Mythri Movie Makers, the visual featured a massive stone engraved with “Shri Ram”. The backdrop hinted at a mythical forest, complete with fallen fruits, towering trees and a distant stone structure. The team captioned it, “Happy #GudiPadwa to everyone from Team #JaiHanuman May the boundless devotion of Hanuman to Lord Ram ignite our hearts with courage, compassion, and balance on this auspicious day @shetty_rishab @PrasanthVarma @MythriOfficial @ThePVCU.”

Earlier, during Diwali celebrations, the makers unveiled Rishab’s first-look poster. The image showed him kneeling before an idol of Lord Ram inside what appeared to be an abandoned temple. That reveal ended all speculation about casting and confirmed him as the titular character.
A new addition to the PVCU
Hanu-Man turned out to be the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2024, collecting over Rs 300 crore worldwide. Starring Teja Sajja as a superhero, the film laid the foundation for the PVCU, which revolves around mythological superheroes. Interestingly, Prasanth Varma is also developing a film based on Lord Indra, featuring Mokshagna, son of Nandamuri Balakrishna.
