Riyan Parag Controversy: Rajasthan Royals (RR) team has once again come into controversy in the Indian Premier League. Earlier the issue of use of mobile phones by the coaching staff during the match had come to light, and now a new discussion has started regarding captain Riyan Parag.

Parag was caught on camera using a vape in the dressing room during the match against Punjab Kings (PBKS). This video was recorded during the 16th over of the second innings and quickly went viral on social media.

BCCI will take strict action

This match was played on 28 April at New PCA Stadium, Mullanpur. BCCI can take strict action regarding this incident. Under Rule 2.2 of the IPL Code of Conduct, this can be considered an act that harms the reputation of the game. In such cases, the match referee can take action like warning, reduction in match fee or suspension.

RR beat Punjab

It is noteworthy that this incident came to light after a big win of RR. The team chased the target of 223 runs against PBKS and won by six wickets. In this match Riyan Parag scored 29 runs in 16 balls. With the win, RR moved to third place in the points table, but this controversy became a new problem for the team.

Even before this the team has come under investigation. At the beginning of the season, team manager Romi Bhinder was seen using a mobile phone in the dugout during a live match. Young player Vaibhav Suryavanshi was sitting with him. This was also a breach of IPL rules, following which Bhinder was fined and cautioned, although he tried to justify it on medical grounds.
