RJD candidate Subhash Yadav gets bail, will be able to campaign in Koderma

Patna: RJD candidate from Koderma, Subhash Yadav has got bail. Koderma RJD candidate Subhash Yadav got bail from the Supreme Court. Subhash Yadav is lodged in Beur jail of Patna in an ED case. He came to Koderma from jail and filed his nomination in police custody.

RJD candidate from Koderma assembly Subhash Yadav, who is in jail, got a big relief from the court to contest the elections. Subhash Yadav had appealed to the Supreme Court for bail on the basis of exemption given to Arvind Kejriwal to campaign in the elections.

Earlier, Subhash Yadav had sought permission from the High Court to contest elections, which was rejected by the High Court. However, Patna High Court had given parole for 3 days for nomination.

In the Supreme Court, the bench of Justices Surya Kant, Dipankar Dutt and Ujjwal Bhuiyan has agreed to the demand of petitioner Subhash Yadav.

On the other hand, Additional Solicitor General on behalf of ED strongly opposed the petition of Subhash Yadav and said that granting bail to an accused in this way would set a wrong example. On this, the bench of judges said that elections are not held every day. On which the ED demanded time to reply in the court.
Earlier on March 9, ED had arrested Subhash Yadav in a money laundering case. Subhash Yadav, who was close to Lalu Prasad Yadav, got three days parole from Patna High Court to file nomination.
