RJD’s Shivchandra Ram cried bitterly after being denied MLC ticket, resigned from all posts

A big political issue came to light in Bihar politics on Monday. Senior Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and former minister Shivchandra Ram announced his resignation from all organizational posts of the party. Shivchandra Ram, who was angry over not getting a ticket in the Legislative Council elections (MLC), looked quite hurt. He emotionally expressed his displeasure and accused the party leadership of neglect and breaking promises.

 

Shivchandra Ram became emotional during the press conference held in Vaishali. He said that despite working for the party with full devotion and dedication for years, he did not get the expected respect. He told that he has not been able to sleep properly for the last four days and is extremely mentally disturbed.

The former minister said that his political career started from RJD in 1990. He has been active in taking the social justice ideas of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav to every village. He said that he always followed every decision of the party but this time injustice was done to him.

Shivchandra Ram alleged that many party leaders had assured him of giving him the responsibility but he was ignored at the last moment. He said that despite being a dedicated worker, he was made to feel neglected. He has also resigned from the post of national president of SC-ST cell. He says that this is not only his personal suffering, but also the suffering of the workers who have been working for the party for years.

However, he expressed respect for Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav and said that the party gave them recognition, for which he would be grateful. But continuing in the post in the current circumstances is against his self-respect. Now the discussion has intensified in the political circles whether this resentment will stop here or whether the scope of dissatisfaction within the party will increase further in the coming days.
