Reiner made his directorial debut with the cult classic mockumentary This Is Spinal Tap in 1984 and went on to helm a string of defining films, including Stand By Me, The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, Miseryand A Few Good Menthe latter earning him an Academy Award nomination. As an actor, he also appeared in films such as Sleepless in Seattle, Bullets Over Broadway, EDtv and The Wolf of Wall Street.
He met Michele Singer, a photographer, while working on When Harry Met Sally in the late 1980s. The couple married in 1989 and shared three children. They had lived in their Brentwood home for several years. Further details are expected as the investigation continues and authorities release official findings.
