Rohit Sharma breaks into laughter and nearly falls off the chair in the dressing room after seeing Sarfaraz Khan’s hundred celebration

Sarfaraz Khan scored a hundred in the second innings of the opening Test between India and New Zealand at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The young batter, who was dismissed for a duck in the first innings, celebrated wildly after reaching the three-figure mark, and his style left captain Rohit Sharma in splits in the dressing room.

After hitting Tim Southee for a four in the 57th over of the innings, Sarfaraz swung his bat and then showed it to the Indian dressing.

It was a magnificent effort by the batter as India were dismissed for 46 runs in the second innings and needed someone to stand up in the second essay to avoid an embarrassing defeat. The Kiwis were 356 runs ahead and looked like they were heading toward a sure victory.

Indian player applauded Sarfaraz for his maiden Test hundred, and Rohit was seen bursting into laughter after watching a replay of the celebration, almost fell from his seat.

Rishabh Pant, who didn’t don the wicket-keeping gloves on Day 3 after injuring his knee, assisted Sarfaraz, and the two added more than 100 runs.

Rishabh Pant completed his fifty as well.
