Rohit Sharma ends talk of retirement and says, wants to win 2027 World Cup

New Delhi: India’s former World Cup-winning captain Rohit Sharma has made his intentions clear regarding the upcoming ODI World Cup. He recently broke his silence and said that he is keen to play in the World Cup to be held in South Africa. Rohit has now put an end to the speculations going on about his retirement for some time.

There was speculation on Rohit Sharma’s ODI career, but he has now put an end to all this. In an interview, Rohit told, “I would definitely like to win the World Cup for my country, it has always been my dream. Since childhood, I have watched the 50-over World Cup.”

He further said, “Then there was neither the T20 World Cup, nor the IPL. That was the only pinnacle of cricket which came every four years. So there was both the desperation and pressure of that trophy. I really want to win that trophy, and will work hard to the best of my strength and ability for it.”

End to speculations about retirement

While stating his intentions in this way, Rohit Sharma has made it clear that he is in no mood to retire from ODI cricket right now.
