Rohit Sharma’s blast in List-A cricket, equaling David Warner’s record and reaching first place

Rohit Sharma in Vijay Hazare Trophy: Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, the biggest ODI tournament of Indian domestic cricket, has started from December 24. The dominance of the batsmen was seen on the very first day of the tournament, where a total of 22 century innings were recorded. Meanwhile, former Team India captain Rohit Sharma also returned to this prestigious tournament after a long time and created history with his bat as soon as he returned.

Playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy after many years, Rohit Sharma proved that his class is still intact. In the match against Sikkim, Rohit played a stormy innings of 155 runs in just 94 balls. His innings included 18 fours and 9 sixes, which impressed the spectators as well as the cricket experts.

Equaling David Warner’s all time record

With this brilliant century, Rohit Sharma made a big record in List-A cricket. He has now reached parity with former Australian player David Warner in terms of playing innings of 150 or more runs in List-A cricket history. This was Rohit’s 9th innings in List-A cricket in which he scored 150 or more runs.

37th century in List-A, included in the list of greats

This century of Rohit Sharma was his 37th century in List-A cricket. With this, he has reached sixth position in the list of batsmen who have scored most centuries in List-A cricket. Ahead of him in this list, legendary batsmen like Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, Graham Gooch, Graham Hick and Kumar Sangakkara are included.

Second oldest centurion among Vijay Hazare

With this inning of 155 runs played against Sikkim, Rohit Sharma has also become the second oldest player to score a century in the history of Vijay Hazare Trophy. Rohit achieved this feat at the age of 38 years and 238 days. The first place in this list is Anustup Majumdar, who scored a century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy at the age of 39.
