During a press conference, Rohit Sharma was asked about the new rule implemented by BCCI not allowing cricketer’s family and wives to travel with them. Rohit stated that they should wait till this is announce officially.
Indian skipper Rohit Sharma came up with a harsh reply when one of a reporters questioned him about the new protocol of BCCI to now allow an Indian cricketer’s family and wives on tours. Rohit snapped at the reporter and asked him about the source of information, putting stress on the fact that any official confirmation should only come from BCCI.
After the team flopped back-to-back, BCCI rolled out a 10-point new guideline for Indian cricketers in an attempt to improve team discipline. One of the guidelines restrict wives and families from joining the team on oversea tours.
During the press conference, Rohit Sharma was quizzed about the reported restriction on wives accompanying the teams. In response, he flipped the question toward the reporter and asked if they had received it directly from BCCI.
Rohit even humorously urged the media to wait for the official announcement of the rules, suggesting a soft tone along with accepting the situation surrounding the issue.
“Who told you about the rules? Has it come from the official handle of BCCI? It didn’t come officially,” Rohit said.

This new guideline by BCCI prohibits contracted players from travelling with personal staff, including cooks, hairdressers, stylists, and personal security personnel, during tours. The BCCI has even implemented harsh limitations on the number of family members coming with each player on their tours.
