Rohit Sharma to not feature in first Australia Test? The skipper gives massive update

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma remains doubtful for India’s first Test against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar series which is set to commence from November 22.

Rohit may miss the match due to personal reasons. After the loss to New Zealand in Mumbai the Indian skipper said that fingers are crossed on his participation in the much-awaited series.

“Not sure whether I will be going, fingers crossed,” Rohit said after India’s 25-run loss in the third Test to New Zealand here.

In case Rohit misses the Test, vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah will lead the side in the series opener while Abhimanyu Easwaran is likely to be his cover.

With India’s 0-3 loss to New Zealand at home, winning the Border-Gavaskar Trophy has now become even more crucial for the Men in Blue in order to reach the final of the World Test Championship (WTC).
