Rohit-Virat’s eyes are again on domestic cricket: Big bang in Vijay Hazare Trophy Round-2, but bad news of live streaming!
Vijay Hazare Trophy: The matches of the second round of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 are being played across the country from today (26 December). Indian cricket’s two superstars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are once again in the headlines. In the first round, both of them made a strong comeback by scoring brilliant centuries, due to which the expectations of the fans have increased even more from the second round.
In the first round, Rohit Sharma played an explosive inning of 155 runs in just 94 balls for Mumbai while chasing the target of 237 runs against Sikkim. Whereas for Delhi, Virat Kohli, while chasing the target of 299 runs against Andhra Pradesh, scored 131 runs in 101 balls, which included 14 fours and 3 sixes. In this innings, Virat also broke a big record of Sachin Tendulkar.
When and where will Rohit and Virat play today?
Virat Kohli’s Delhi team will face Gujarat in Round-2. This match will be played at BCCI Center of Excellence Ground-1, Bengaluru. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma’s Mumbai will clash with Uttarakhand and the match will be held at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Both the matches will start at 9 AM (IST), while the toss will take place at 8:30 AM.
Hopes of seeing it live dashed!
The disappointing news for the fans is that these matches between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will neither be telecast live on TV nor will live streaming be available on any platform. In this round of Vijay Hazare Trophy, all 38 teams are playing on the same day, but BCCI has made arrangements for broadcast only at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and Niranjan Shah Stadium in Rajkot. Therefore, the matches of Jaipur and Bengaluru will not be watched live. However, some selected matches like Jharkhand vs Rajasthan and Assam vs Jammu and Kashmir can be streamed on JioHotstar.
