The roof of the building under construction at Kannauj railway station collapsed, 6 laborers were pulled out from the debris…many feared buried.

Kannauj: A major accident has occurred in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. According to the information received, during the beautification work at the railway station, the linter of a two-storey building under construction suddenly fell. Six laborers buried under the debris have been rescued. There is a possibility of many laborers being buried under the debris.

After receiving information about the incident, a large number of police forces and rescue teams have reached the spot. The team has rescued 6 people buried under the debris. The team is busy removing the debris. Many laborers were working nearby at the time of the accident. Due to which local people say that many more laborers may be buried under the debris.

The local administration says that many other laborers may also be trapped under the debris in this accident, the search for whom is going on. This accident happened during the ongoing beautification work at the railway station. The sound of the lantern falling was heard for about half a kilometer. The local people were shocked to hear the loud noise. When we quickly reached the spot, we saw that the roof of the building had come down.

Police and relief workers reached the spot and are engaged in rescue operations considering the seriousness of the incident. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the incident. All the injured laborers have been taken to the hospital. Along with the local police force, SDRF team has also been sent to the spot. The Chief Minister has directed the officials to immediately reach the spot and speed up the relief work and provide proper treatment to the injured. Along with this, the CM has wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
